War in the Ancient World International Conference 2025 We are pleased to announce the WAWIC 2025 - Warfare in the Ancient World International Conference, a hybrid event connecting researchers worldwide to share insights on ancient warfare. It will take place in-person in Duluth, MN, and Münster, Germany, with selected panels connected via Zoom for seamless engagement. We welcome submissions on any aspect, era, or region of ancient warfare, with a focus on the Greco-Roman world, the ancient Near East, Egypt, and neighboring cultures. Contributions from archaeological, philological, and historical perspectives are encouraged. The conference is open to doctoral students, early-career researchers, and established scholars. Proposals for individual papers (20-minute max) and thematic panels are invited. Abstracts (300 words) and a brief bio should be sent to Lennart Gilhaus (lgilhaus@uni-bonn.de) by January 15, 2025.
